Elastodiffusion calculation of asymptotic absorption efficiencies and bias factors of dislocations in Al, Ni and Fe

The elastic interactions between dislocations and lattice point defects (PDs) control the rate of PD elimination at dislocations, thereby spatial distribution within microstructure. By relying on Onsager formalism, we introduce a new partition diffusion driving force in strain field. We present DFT-based calculations straight loop-form edge dislocation absorption efficiencies resulting biases vacancy self-interstitial pure Fe, Ni, Al metals. highlight effects density, temperature orientation elastodiffusion behavior redistribution near dislocations. Based detailed study sensitivity to boundary conditions, i.e., capture radius associated concentrations, notion asymptotic bias.
